August Swing Tips
Hello to all Symple Power Swingers everywhere. We are enjoying a great summer, especially working with and hearing from many of you singing the praises of the Simple Power Swing method.
New Instructor We would like to announce our Instructional Staff continues to grow. We are pleased to have Jack Dewyngaert certified as a Symple Power Swing Instructor. Jack has been a life long golfer and was a Natural Golf Instructor. Jack wanted me to pass this note on to all SPS’s, especially everyone in South Florida. “Golf has been my passion for 40+ years. The past 7 years as an instructor have without question been the most rewarding. As equipment has improved so have the methods to hit the ball! I am an advocate of the Single Plane method and I look forward to presenting the additional refinements of The Symple Swing. It is compact, in-balance and very accurate swing. A miss-hit is still a good shot and the increase in distance is almost unbelievable. The Symple Swing short game technique gives consistency plus accuracy, which will reflect in your score immediately. Contact me with your questions or to arrange lessons/schools in the Sebring area. Every day we talk to someone or get an email telling us how much longer and straighter their golf shots are going. Distances gains are 20, 30, even 40 yards with much higher trajectory with every club. The most rewarding part of these conversations is the new joy in playing golf now using SPS. We just received this email from one Brad W. who came to our first Raleigh clinic, here is his email to Joe and I :
From: b****@swva.net Subject: Symply Satisfied Date: August 21, 2007 11:56:42 AM EDT To: mike@simplegolf.com, joe@simplegolf.com Hey guys, I think I've finally got it. A quick update. Pete Dye at Va. Tech, hard SOB, pot bunkers, all the greens are elevated you can miss by four feet and end up ten yds. away short sided. Shot 79, however I hit the ball great. Home course on Thurs. 73, didn't make anything. Hit the ball great. Scramble on Fri., killed the ball all day. Home course on Sat., mediocre front side, realized I was over swinging, probably from the scramble. Hit 7 of 7 fairways, 8 GIR, birdied 10, 11, and 12, missed from 6 ft. on 14, 15, and 16, parred 17 and missed a 3 footer on 18, for a 33 on the back. Thanks for hanging in there with me guys, I love this swing. Someone as persistent as this should get a hat or something. Have a great day, I'm satisfied that I will only improve from here. I am hitting 300yd. drives, half a club longer on the irons, if I just had a putter?
I emailed Brad back and told him WOW!! And I am going to get him a Pivot Putter to solve his putting problems. What a great letter. We guarantee you will hit the ball farther with SPS especially if you know how to generate maximum power with our swing.

They must have heard about SPS as they tried to explain the benefits of the same type of compact swing we already use. They said the golfers hit the ball farther with a compact swing and they had 70% fewer errors. We don't agree with everything they said in the article but it was nice to see something recognize the benefits of the compact swing. August Swing Tip Tips for hitting great shots once you have the fundamentals down - These are crucial to becoming a very good player by playing golf not thinking too much while you are playing. 1- Picture the shot in your head before you address the ball - the PERFECT shot you have in your mind. Go thru your address position check points - Posture/T.H.E. grip, square and flare and rock and lock ----- then picture the PERFECT shot in your mind, telling your body to relax and execute a good swing. So SEE the shot right before you swing. 2-Have 1 swing thought (depending on the shot - for me it is keep my head still). 3- Swing with relaxed muscles - no tension - relax, deep breath and swing with shoulder power getting back to address position as you contact the ball. Build Confidence / repeat good swings with every club / think positive even after a bad shot or swing / know how to swing correctly because you have the fix to any bad shot. Good luck and always let us know if you have any questions please call or email us at: joe@simplegolf.com mike@simplegolf.com Take care, Mike O’Leary – Director of Instruction Simple Golf LLC
