First things first.
Always line up a club or yardstick to make sure you are aiming the right way.
I cant count the amount of morons slicing the ball who are aimed to the right side of the fairway.
Shake your hands in the air to loosen them, do this for maybe one minute, this gets the blood flowing to your hands.
Since I am not employed at this time, I like to hit 200 balls a day, my back does not hurt since I started SympleSwing in Dec O4.
Try to lose some weight if possible, I have lost a large amount of weight since August O6.

I have also been trying to keep my right arm low in the takeaway, my biggest jump in clubhead speed had been with as JOE would say with my chin high. This action helps me get a bigger shoulder turn and I go over the top less.
CHIN UP
VERY LOOSE HANDS
RIGHT ARM LOW
HIPS FORWARD
POWER TRIANGLE LIGHT TENSION
TURN IN A SLIGHT LEANING BARREL AWAY FROM TARGET
NOW ALL THESE TIPS SHOULD HELP YOU TOO SWING FASTER AND SMOOTHER

Tonight I was hitting the ball as good as I can hit it, in the net that is. I put a ball ten inches behind and a bit inside of the ball I was hitting, all of a sudden my fat shots were gone and I was hitting the ball pure and crisp, in fact I did not want to stop. Then I put my little underarm device into service and man I was hitting them hard. All I can say is wow at this point, I need to send Joe a video lol. If I could get a video I think Joe would be pleased.

Tonight I was working on my right knee and keeping it bent towards the ball at all times. I think Joe has mentioned that to me a few times lol. So far I dont like it, but I will try hitting 100 balls and I will see if it helps. I know Hogan said it was critical the the rear knee not go too far away from the target and on the downswing it should point at the ball.

News flash,
Bungy cord drill, what it does keeps the right knee from straying to far from the ball. How it works, I take a large bungy cord and put around both legs at knee height, now when I hit balls it maintains a constant pressure on both knees not to go to far left or right, but mostly the right knee, my results with the MT four iron have been very good.
Give it a try.

Well after my Myrtle Beach Fiasco, I have decided to go back to the basics on my SympleSwing lol.
Push the hips forward towards the target. Passive right hand, kind of firm left. Nice full shoulder turn but not forced. Right index finger off the shaft points at the ground, this stops the right hand from taking over the swing.
Result nice ball flight straight down the middle. =SYMPLESWING STRAIGHT DOWN THE =========================MIDDLE WHAT MORE CAN A GUY ASK FOR LOL=

I hit loads of balls today, with good results. I worked on hips foward. A new swing idea, Joe says to point the left elbow to the target, well I have taken it a bit further, I point the left elbow kind of towards the sky. This seems to keep me on plane a bit better, what this does is turns the left arm clockwise, I think it may even help with hooking.

bikeman Stu - you are a legend on many levels/ my hat is off to you (actually my visor) 1-to practice so deligently is awesome 2-to work on so many different variations to help Joe work on the fine points of SS 3-to post so we all can benefit from your experiences 4- to stay married and with handful of kids/ especially enjoyed the myrtle beach trip update! we should send a film crew and do reality show for SS!
keep it up and btw - are you the only one practicing?? I wish other determined SS'ers would join the practice/post bandwagon to inform, educate and improve everyone's golf game using SS
have a great day and hit a couple hundred ball for me. I will be there in spirit.
talk soon Mike O |

More fun today, I have set up a tension from the left arm a bit to the right arm. Here is how it works I point the left elbow right of the target. The right hand stops the left from opening the clubface. Now just swing back from the ball and keep the same feel of tension till after you hit the ball, this is a small bit of tension, kind of if you were twisting a balloon, too much and it will pop.
