What causes a high ball flight? I suspect that I am not standing tall enough and my swing is coming into the ball on too steep of a angle. I am very happy with my swing concerning direction and consistency. Maybe I would gain more distance by lowering the ball flight! Thanks, Ted

Hi Ted,

For me to be able to answer the question about your high ball flight you need to supply more info. What clubs do you hit too high, irons, woods or both? How far do you hit the ball in the air (carry distance) with each club? Are your hands ahead of the ball at impact with your iron shots? Do you take a divot (even a small one) with your iron shots? Your posture could be causing the problem but in all my years of teaching golf and now also conducting clinics for Simple Power Swing I'm sure it's something else.

Please call me at 701-226-7662 so we can get this problem straightened out quickly. I'm looking forward to working with you.

Hey Ted
Usually it begins with posture ie getting taller to insure 'normal' trajectory dictated by loft of each club.
-second as you stated too steep of an angle could be a concern but this opens a whole new can of worms, because we want you to keep that front arm straight so your downswing is exactly like take away & backswing so again angle is 'normal' producing correct trajectory.
-third since you are too steep, this means arms and hands and wrists are swinging the club thus 'scooping' thru the hit causing to high of a shot. if triangle stays in place thru out swing with extension of arms with only thumb hinge then trajectory is again 'normal'.
-4th keep front wrist flat i mean flat thru contact not letting back hand power thru hit thus collapsing front wrist which intern scoops the ball.

summary - put a cast on front arm from wrist past elbow lol/ keep front arm straight for lever power, relax back hand with no grip tension especially thru hit zone and hit with core turn power or as i refer to triangle power and when you do this club face has to be at impact with correct loft producing 'normal' trajectory.

send me a video if truly want to i d problem/ call me to discuss/ look forward to talking with you, its been a while
take care and let us know the 'solution' you find on your quest/ call me if need 407 340 9420
