I've had a lot of success with the F2 wedge getting out of sand traps.

The F2 is the club design where the hosel is set back from the front face ( F2 ----Get it ? Clever ) leading edge. Because the leading edge is out in front of the hosel, you can't "stub" your club "heel" on the sand ....or grass either, for that matter.

With an appropriately open face, this club just "bombs" right through the sand, blasting the ball out of the trap.

I used to really hate getting in to traps around the green but now I feel confident with the shot. Not particularly accurate in getting close to the pin but at least out of the trap where I can use my Symple Putter.

( now...where did I put that sweater ! )

Maybe that is what i need being i have never been able to get out of a sand trap. Even after a lot of sand trap lessons i still can't get out of them.

In fact the last lesson I had the Golf -pro didn't even charge me because afte my lesson i still copuldn't get out.

Hi SATTHMNS -

I know what you mean. I've been using the F2 for sometime now, only in sand, guess I could use it in other circumstances.....but

Anyway confidence is the big thing I find if I have confidence in a club or a shot ...... the results are always more to my liking.

I don't usually have great accuracy out of the sand but for me...out of the trap and on the green in one try is major...

I got the 60......seemed like a good idea at the time and so far it has worked out for me.

Good luck with it.....getting out of the sand ( at least most of the time ) really is a help to cut down the old handicap.

I don't remeber what I paid, what ever the asking price was on the website at that time.

Here is the website http://www.f2golf.com/

There is a lot more information on the website now than when I ordered.

I don't know anything about their set of irons. I was only interested in the wedge.

Cheers

Rob in Sunny Phoenix Arizona. Actually it was 68 degrees on our back porch at 6 am this morning. We will hit 104 this afternoon.

I also have a 52 and a 56 degree wedge from F2. The 56 is from out of the sand box. With the 52 I do all my short chips shots around the green. A big confidence booster (regardless of SPS or CG).
Played a round with the irons last week and I really like them. Nice soft feel. Thinking about getting some cheap from ebay.

I recently got a set of irons. There are looking pretty good. I haven't had a lot of time to hit them (buisness trips) but the first impression is that a occasional shank is gone at the driving range. I keep you posted when I am back in the US.
