Can't believe we've had no putting stories or questions since June!! I just had a great experience in a mixed scramble using my Symple Putter. One of those days when every putt you looked at went in. Couple from over 30 ft. If I didn't make it one of my partners (the low handicapper) did but he didn't have to make many! We won by three shots. Then when we came back to the club house they had a putting contest for a pretty good prize package. Three balls for $5.00! Made the 60' uphill ten foot breaker with my second putt. Had to putt off against two other guys who also made theirs but easily beat them. That gave me a chance to make a single 75' uphill slider for $5000.00. Missed by about 6" but the sponsor thought I had it all the way! Still got the prize package, just not the 5 grand. So far have dropped my handicap by three shots since switching to the Symple Putter and I know it will be down another shot with my next round in the 70's posted. Thanks Mike!!
well done proffire, even if you did pull them out of your backside youmust have been hot. i too have missed the comments about putting. it is a great feeling when you are looking at your putt and you really see the line and it goes in. mechanically i am 100 %better but i still seem to putt down the wrong line or the pace of the putt doesnt suit the line i chose. hopefully, i will get the buzz that you are feeling. again well done and i am not going to offer any tips to the guru
I'm also a little surprised we don't get more short game questions too. The short game is where you'll save most of your strokes.
I gave a lesson to a local pro yesterday. Now obviously he could hit the ball well already. However, even with him I started right with chipping. Then we when to short pitches. We shortened his backswing, quieted his lower body and dampened his wristy stroke. Just by doing that he started hitting pinpoint wedge shots much better than he ever hit them before. He appreciated the full swing improvements in consistency and accuracy with Symple Swing but it was the short game improvements that really amazed him.
BTW, we're going to be doing some new things with video and with articles in the very near future and that will include a good bit about the short game.
