Oh great gurus (MikeO 'n JoeD): Please comment & clarify on the division of weight between the feet. From this forum I have the following: A. Normal Swing: "thru impact, most of the weight on the ball of the rear (normally Rt.) foot". B. T-Lock Swing: "weight should be balanced between the feet... guard against too much weight on the back leg (can cause hip rotation). Comment additionally on any adjustments I should make due to a left leg approx. 1" shorter than the right, the result of a badly shattered femur leg bone in an accident. ThanX for your conscientious help, Bill
Nice to see you back, hope you leg is doing better.
First the T-Lock stance: (See the FAQ's for a description) The weight should balanced equally on both feet and it should stay fairly balanced throughout the swing. (Obviously during the swing there will be some weight "thrown into" the front leg.)
The PowerSet Stance starts with most of the weight on the back leg. Although the weight starts on the back leg the key to the stance is the posting into the front leg. The way to learn the proper posting into the front leg is to practice the "back heel up drill" (see FAQ section of the forum for a description). Practicing with the back heel up forces you to post (or brace) into the front leg through impact.
The only adjustment you'll probably need is a little more bend in the right knee.
I hope that answers your question. If it doesn't please feel free to ask again.
