I don't know if anyone is aware of it, but there has been much discussion about SS, both pro and con at the Single-Axis Forum. If anyone is interested, go to http://www.network54.com/Forum/72052/

Joe, Does that guy Ed Laskody work for you? He signs all his messages on the Single-Axis board as "Ed Laskody at Simpleswing.com" |

I believe it is an alternative golf swing--the Ideal Mechanical Advantage swing.

IMA is scott H. LPG is Jack K.
The forum is a Single Axis (SA) where the shaft is aligned with the trailing arm.
SS isnt a truly SA swing and resemblance more a CG swing (Conventional Golf) swing. IMHO
Good swings have more in common than all the difference in how someone is built, as i can notice, the SS has all the good traits and also removed a load of timing issues people normally would have a hard time learning and being able to do well requires a lot of practice.
For me, symple swing with its pre-set allows a motion pretty much be ingrained in a few days which speaks to its simplicitiy. To be consistent and have a low maintance are key figures regarding golf.
Now I wish my tiredness would go away so i could play some golf at my best.

Read some of the comments on the Single-Axis forum ( see CB44 post at the start of this topic )
Most of what I saw there was to say the least, acerbic with lots of bickering.....straying off the topic etc. Almost like a kids game of put-down.
That's what I like about this forum......In the main, most posts are positive and helpful......Few if any put downs.
Thanks everyone.

Hi Guys,
Ed Laskody is a big Symple Swing supporter and a friend. Actually although there are some negative comments there the discussion actually helps us. We get good referrals sales from people who see Symple Swing discussed (one way or another) on the Single Axis Forum. BTW, Mike and I will be seeing Ed at the Symple Swing Clinic in Raleigh, NC this weekend. We just expanded the Clinic so we still have a couple of openings if anyone is interested. http://www.simplegolf.com/raleigh.htm You can call (203-798-8489) for more info.
When we launched we received a very, very cool reception at the Single Axis Forum. However over time, one by one, we've won over more and more Single Axis Forum members.

That forum is a joke. Most of the guys there are a bunch of anal retentive types who pick apart every minute detail of the swing. I go there for entertainment value only, that is all it is. When something doesn't align with the narrow thought processes of some, they tear it apart. I bet most of the guys there don't even play, or if the do they are pure and total hacks! You cannot possible play well and enjoy yourself when you dissect and dissect, as a lot of guys on these forums do.
If a lot of the folks at the SA forum approached sex the way they approached golf, there would never be another child born in this country.
Ed seems like a nice guy and lover of our game. I find his overzelousness about SS quit amusing. Quite the contrary to his belief, "conventional" golf instruction will never go away and become some kind of dinosaur.. Because people will always do what the media icons do. None of the pros are using SS, thus the majority of weekend golfers will not use SS. If Tiger Woods said he took a rubber band and put it around his left nut and it gave him 25 more yards, the next day you would see a lot of guys limping into the nation's emergency rooms. People imitate media icons, not only with golf, but with everything. It is sad, but that is just the way it is and always will be. A bunch of hearded sheep, that is all most of us are!
SS is great stuff. It will find a niche, and hopefully an ever growing one. But it will not replace the standard pro-type swing we see on TV. And the golfing establishment will see to that. Anything that is simple and repeatable will not be embraced by them. They want folks to struggle, be confused. Everytime I read the golf mags, I get confused with all the conflicting advice. And a lot of it, from a practical or physics standpoint stupid or downright wrong.
You guys keep up the good work! Hope you will make a swing through Atlanta some time, love to meet you'all!

IMA is basically a single axis grip with a conventional looking golf swing. That is how I perceived it. There were some good drills on the tape, one's that I believe would work for most types of swing.

To describe their site as ascerbic is a grotesque understatement. If you want to avoid trolls....I think their site has Dungeon written on the door. It is good to be able to ask questions and get civil answers here! This is definitely a civil forum, Thanks All. Kevin |

It don’t work on the left nut, it causes a duck hook. On the right one it made me slice, then my wife said she swears by it says it's the best tip ever and has no trouble using it, and she hits all her shots straight down the middle, now I’m really confused Boris can you help! Donal |

Well, Donal, the answer is obvious, put the band on both, on average one will equal out to straight down the fairway.

What you can do is train with "The Helicopter" and cure your slice fast. I did it and belive me, it really works. |

| My local vet. has some rubber bands which will work really well. I put them on 50 head of bull calves this spring. One of these bands will help you STEER the ball really well. |
